“Precious
Mettle” is a sculptural foray into the
beauty and ideals embodied by the Buddha, whose “mettle”
defines any person’s ability to cope with
difficulties and face life in a spirited and
resilient way. The term Buddha simply
means “Awakened”. Echoing
the tenets of Right Thoughts and Right Mindfulness,
Buddha declared, “With our thoughts we
make the world!”
Each small Buddha
piece is unique, another reminder that it, indeed,
takes all kinds to make our world and is a celebration
of a divinely guided diversity. The back of
each piece, however, features identical
hand carved Buddha heads representing our Oneness….”One
Taste” as the saying goes. This
artwork stands alone, as a sculptural piece;
it can also be installed on a wall if the platform
feet are removed. The artist will take
commissions for ORIGINAL finished pieces in
the “Precious Mettle” series in
